Our students need visual supports in order to complete daily activities, assignments, and to access learning content. Some of our students with speech impairments and use visual support to communicate. Our goal is to give all of our students the materials they need to communicate and learn successfully. We are currently unable to print adequate visual supports for our students. This impedes their communication and slows down their ability to learn new material. We use visual supports for many things. One example is to show steps in a sequence for every day activities, such as hand washing, toileting, and cleaning up. Learning these skills will increase our students ability to gain independence as they age.
