This project will engage students in the pivotal art process of: “Placemaking, the process of creating quality places that people want to live, work, play, and learn in.” These materials will allow our art students to collaborate with welding students to create and install a permanent mosaic sculpture in the campus quad. The materials for this project will be used to construct a three foot tall sculpture installed in the campus quad. This sculpture will involve students in the processes of paper mache, welding and tiling. As a campus beautification project, this sculpture will build pride and ownership in students over their school community.

About my class
