These books will continue to enhance our read aloud experience. When we returned from Hurricane Ida after a month of no school, students were stressed because of their living conditions. Yes, we need to get back to learning, but these students' souls were damaged. With these new read aloud books, my students will be able to read with me for pleasure. We are already on chapter 3 and students want to finish their assignments early to listen to me read. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more. Listening and understanding a higher level book increases student confidence. Currently, we don't have these class sets of books. They aren't able to follow the words and that's a necessity!
