When students were learning via distance learning they missed opportunities of hands-on learning through math manipulatives in the classroom. Our math proficiency dropped by 18%, compared to pre-pandemic. Our school is actively seeking ways/instructional practices to help improve all students ability to understand math, and continue to show growth. By donating to our project you will be helping students at ability levels to receive/utilize math manipulatives to continue to have hands-on learning opportunities they missed out on during the pandemic. Majority of our students who have special needs learn by doing and understanding the why. The Fractions Hands-On Teaching Kit, ten frames sets and other manipulatives will help improve their conceptual knowledge of mathematics instead of just trying to memorize a rule. Math 3.0B, 3.0D, 3.NBTA, 4.NFA
