Although most students struggled with online learning during COVID, Refugee and Newcomer students have struggled in unique ways. Not being in school has impacted not only their social-emotional learning, but also their English-language learning. These supplies will help Refugee and Newcomer students learn and practice their English skills. Students will practice their listening and speaking skills with different apps on the iPad. They can practice recording themselves and make videos to learn English in a fun, engaging way. The audio splitter will help the students to listen and speak to their computer programs. Students will practice their reading and writing skills with different early reader books. They can practice their letter names and sounds with the teacher in small groups using the table top whiteboard.
