My students are learning about cycling of matter and energy in ecosystems. They are building models of ecosystems that might be found on earth. They decide where the ecosystem is located, what is in it (geological features, natural resources, living and non-living things) and how organisms interact. They are usually are limited to drawing models because of supply and budget concerns, but I would like for them to be able to create a diorama. Many of these students have never done anything like this because they haven't been able to purchase supplies. By being able to have the supplies for them it would offer them an equitable education experience with a lasting impact.

About my class
