The printer will give my students opportunities to print their mathematical projects/creations instantly and share them with peers for feedback. The expo markers and erasers will give groups of students the chance to solve problems simultaneously on whiteboards around the room and then do gallery walks using their own clipboards to analyze work, record understandings, and provide feedback. The critical thinking book can be copied and students can work to continue building their problem-solving skills in diverse ways while keeping their curiosity and excitement alive. The floor marking tape will be wonderful in setting up coordinate planes on the floor and having students move about the plane as they form conjectures about transformations, functions and . With these supplies, students will gain much deeper conceptual understandings of the mathematics and strengthen their skills in the 8 mathematical practices/habits. They will also be able to model higher-level thinking for others as a result of their work, whether it is projected in the classroom or printed and hung in the hallways for others to engage with.
