One of the greatest needs of my students is hands on activities that also incorporate small motor skills. Many students don't currently have the hand strength to hold a pencil correctly or write correctly. Build, twisting, painting and grabbing are all essential skills for young learners. All these supplies will encourage deeper thought and be used to develop fine motor skills that will help them be successful in the future. I can see their cute little faces now as I imagine opening this box of supplies for them, and they feel like Christmas has arrived in our Kindergarten class.
