These materials will be used to help build a calm and safe space for students to receive individual school-based counseling. It is important for students to feel comfortable during vulnerable moments. I am grateful to have an office connected to my classroom to offer these services privately and hope to furnish this space with middle school aged students in mind. Students are experiencing mental health crisis' at an all time high. Many students I have served are experiencing issues with anxiety, depression, PTSD, health anxiety, regression of social skills, conflict resolution, and coping during the pandemic. It is important that students have a space at school that they can attend to process these emotions and heal to academically succeed.
