Mathematics can be a very intimidating subject to many students. The materials I have requested will really help students understand geometry a little bit better by providing students with the basic geometry tools needed to support student learning in constructions and calculations. Students will be able to use new compasses to construct transformations such as rotations, reflections, and translations. They will be able to use their calculators to then calculate the coordinates and verify that their transformations are accurate. With the materials requested, students will be able to see and calculate transformations on a plane. This follows standard G.CO.D "Make Geometric Constructions" and really capture that concept of making formal constructions with a variety of tools and methods.
