The use of manipulatives is almost a daily activity in my classroom, with all of the student's academics. Our special education classroom has students from kindergarten- fifth grade. The manipulatives allow me to see exactly what the students know by doing different activities with them. By having manipulatives, students will be able to work on all of their academics to be successful in the classroom. This will also help them increase their learning! Hands-on materials help to make learning concrete and create successful learners in all classrooms! Not only will my students with special needs benefit from these manipulatives, but typically developing students also benefit from the use of hands-on materials. Having the equipment necessary to create an exciting and fun learning environment.
