I am requesting books for this project which will be shared with all grade appropriate classrooms for students in grades Kindergarten through fifth grade. As students work through the reading content of their classrooms, these titles help enhance their background knowledge and help to foster a love of reading. Access to a variety of books helps children generate interest in reading fiction and non fiction genres. Students will have easy access to read these books when they are placed in their classroom libraries. These books will help children increase their reading practice habits and build life-long readers and learners. Each title selected correlates with the content being taught and can serve as a bridge to encouraging students to read. Specific standards: RL.K.1-10 and RI.K.1-10, RL.1.1-10 and RI.1.1-10, RL.2.1-10 and RI.2.1-10, RL.3.1-10 and RI.3.1-10, RL.4.1-10 and RI.4.1-10, RL.5.1-10 and RI.5.1-10
