The students use the carpet each day and most of the day for learning. Having a large carpet helps us with spacing and keeps us safer. Carpet time allows us to listen actively to a story and to form small groups for peer interaction as well as students working in small groups. Students can also use this carpet as a resource for when they need to see a certain letter. It would be another option rather than trying to look over to the alphabet board, now they can have another option.
