Part of being a successful teacher to students with special needs is knowing how to differentiate lessons. My students all learn in different ways, some through hands-on activities and some through listening or watching. I chose different resources that will allow me to differentiate lessons and incorporate all modalities. The whiteboards help my students to jot down ideas and allow us to provide written individualized prompts. Scholastic will help me to teach non-fiction to my students. Brainpop will help me to find videos and activities that support my current curriculum. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will allow me to purchase supporting activities for my current curriculum. The sentence correction journal will allow students to work on current writing objectives.
