My students will learn developmental and life skills through purposeful play. Students thrive on curiosity and exploring different materials and toys. All the materials will allow students to work together and identify how to work as a team and work on problem-solving as well as the appropriate way to communicate with others to come to the best conclusion. Students will use play dough and kinetic sand to explore and ask questions about different materials and how they are able to use them to build. There are blocks and different solid building tools to let students work with each other to create different types of structures as well as create working relationships with their classmates. Puppets are a great way for students to work on their communication skills as well as role playing through situations that may be difficult to talk through. They will also benefit students through some social emotional learning as well!
