Help my students get excited about reading again! I am trying to encourage my students to find books they love and characters they connect with, so their love of reading will be reignited. My students need to read stories with characters who look like them and overcome similar struggles. My students need representation and encouragement in the stories they read, so they can find joy in anothers' story. Making connections to others helps students feel seen and heard which doesn't usually happen on a daily basis. We practice independent reading in my classroom so I need a bigger classroom library that is interesting to all of my students,.
