Working on clay helps develop the small muscles on kids fingers and hands, known as fine motor skills, as they pinch, squeeze and prod the clay, adding detail to the shape or object. For this project, students will model the clay with their hands to create artistic and unique cups and plates, "snow man" and more figures. After it is dry, students will decorate the art pieces with different paint colors and let it dry. Kids will really enjoy to model clay, especially at this time after pandemic event where kids were exposed many hours every day in front of the screen for online classes.

About my class
