Students who have special needs including those with Autism require specialized instruction to meet their individualized needs. During distance education we were limited to learning by electronic means. I am requesting a light table, light table trays and manipulatives. Now that we have returned to in person learning we are able to work hands on with students. It is important to add materials to the classroom to meet the sensory needs of the students. Students with Autism benefit from sensory practice, exploration and learning. It encourages interest and engagement in learning academic tasks and communication such as speaking and listening. ELA NVACS connectors SL.11-12.2
