These items that I have selected will make a large impact on my students in the classroom. They will help encourage creative, innovative, and mathematical thinkers this year and for many years to come! The pandemic has limited these students to minimal interaction with their peers and friends. These items will encourage more interaction with one another and give them all an opportunity to get back a piece of their childhood. I, along with my second-grade team give my students SEED time. It stands for systematic exploration, experimenation, and discovery time. They use this time to interact with their peers to explore and discover ways to do things through the use of hands-on items. They learn to create and produce patterns, along with problem-solving skills, that use teamwork and collaboration to reach common goals. These items would be greatly appreciated!
