This project will have the students use flexible seating during independent seatwork so as to stay on task. Using the spiral notebooks and folders will help them take and maintain organization with their note taking and writing. The magnets will be used to help display work and materials necessary for instruction. The materials I've chosen for this project will help keep my students engaged in their learning. They will be able to read and write throughout all subject areas, adhering to the Nevada Academic Content Standard W.5.10. This standard states that students will write routinely over extended time frames (time for research, reflection, and revision) and shorter time frames (a single sitting or a day or two) for a range of discipline-specific tasks, purposes, and audiences.
