These resources will help my students address the Nevada reading content standards RF.K.1.d which is to recognize and name all upper- and lowercase letters of the alphabet. They will also help my students with the Nevada math standards K.CC.A.1, K.CC.A.2 as well as several others. As we are addressing the social and emotional toil that rampaged our students in Nevada, due to covid-19, our students even in kindergarten are somewhat behind in their academic progress as time and resources are being diverted from classroom instruction to teaching social skills and basic emotional functioning as families attempt to get lives back to a state of normalcy after a period of disruption. My students will benefit greatly from the hands on and tactile nature of the resources requested in this project, as well as the visual perception they will garner from being able to see various presentations of academic representations. These experiences will bring so much more understanding and cognition to their daily experience with learning and address a variety of learning modalities.
