To keep our messy science labs safe, we need safety goggles. In one of our wind erosion experiments, we subject a variety of materials to different levels of wind. Whenever we blow onto the peat moss and sand, someone ends up with debris in their eyes! Safety goggles would help protect everyone and allow for even more dramatic results. Everyone knows that real scientists wear goggles, right? I have a reputation as a "mad scientist" teacher, even though I teach fourth grade. If my students were able to wear goggles during experiments, I think it would make them feel like "real" scientists.
