With these science lab supplies, my learners will have the more and unique opportunities to experience science through exploration and experimentation. Due to distance and hybrid learning, many children have lost opportunities to experience science content through hands-on labs and utilizing manipulatives to develop models. In addition to supplies for student centered exploration, strategy games such as Connect4 and Jenga will provide learners the opportunity to review key concepts to further solidify skills and knowledge from different units with the additional social and emotional learning opportunities that accompany playing games with their peers. I would love to provide my learners the opportunity to experience science through hands-on and inquiry based learning, while fostering positive social and emotional learning practices through collaborative review.
