Every 4-5 weeks our students deeply engage in one large topic; our next block will be Geology & Mineralogy. This 3D model, as well as the volcanic ash, will help the students make abstract concepts become concrete. The model will help to explain scientific concepts like plate tectonics, volcanic eruptions, and more. The model will help the students in creating accurate drawings into their Main Lesson Books, facilitate discussions, and allow for understanding to deepen in a way that would otherwise be impossible using solely books or diagrams. The model will last for years to come and help countless students have similar experiences.
