Over and over again we hear of the importance of developing good literacy skills at an early age in order to be successful in literacy. But, imagine you as a parent not being able to read to your child due to a language barrier. How can you help your child without having a text you can actually read and understand? Breaking Barriers with Bilingual Books will provide parents and children with books in their home language and the opportunity of learning and developing early literacy skills. This project will help close the literacy gap I frequently have seen in my ESL students and will provide books for them to read at home with their loved ones.
