I am a teacher to 22 first graders eager to become exceptional readers, writers, and mathematicians. They are English Language Learners living in an inner city neighborhood on the road to college for sure! Our school’s motto is “College for Certain” and our classroom represents the University of Hawaii. ‘Ohana means family and that is what my students and I are: a family! We learn from each other and come to school every day with the expectation to get new wrinkles in our brains (my students and I say that we get a new wrinkle for every new thing we learn…so we have a lot of wrinkles already)! They enjoy being introduced to new material and I enjoy providing them with the resources that will maximize their learning in all subject areas.
