Some of my students write from bottom to top, making their handwriting illegible. My students missed the time where they would normally have practice writing due to the pandemic. Many of them do not know how to stay between the lines of a wide ruled composition book. Some of my 2nd graders barely know how to spell their first and last names. These materials will also take some of the pressure off parents who have had to be their teachers for most of last year. It’s simple enough for them to do independently.
