The cyclers will help students with disabilities attend to work tasks in the general education classrooms. Students' flexible seating will allow for individual needs to be met with movement during independent work tasks. This allows for students to be included with their peers which helps address their social/ emotional needs from being educated at home during the previous school year. Rather than taking a walk in the school building when they need to move, students will be able to stay in the classroom and be able to continue working on grade level activities. Students who have choice and movement in their flexible seating options are able to remain engaged in lessons and independent activities. The flexible seating cycles will help students engage in all academic areas with all academic standards (reading, writing and math) as addressed in their individual education plans. Specifically, the desk cyclers will impact my students independent reading levels (RL 4.10, 5.10 and RI 4.10, 5.10).
