Nevada Standards for Speaking and Listening 6-12 Comprehension and Collaboration 1a-d, and 3 Presentation and Ideas 4-6 Our class does not have any video cameras at this time. Some students have cell phones with cameras, but many do not or they do not have any storage. These cameras will allow students to work collaboratively on tasks that will engage them using stress-reducing techniques and mindfulness skills to improve their social-emotional outlook. They will also build community, learn to actively listen, clarify and elaborate. These cameras will play a critical role in allowing students to express themselves. Project and team-based learning provide students with ongoing opportunities for significant learning. They will do more than perceive through their own thoughts about their academic conversations, they will see it and be able to reflect on it. This creates a genuine sense of ownership for students. They will own their learning and be able to craft their own action plans for improvement.
