The Nevada Academic Content Standard fulfilled by this project will be the Kindergarten - 5th Grade Standard MU:Cr3.5.2 Present the final version of personal created music to others that demonstrates craftsmanship, and explain connection to expressive intent. One issue I have noticed with our elementary students during these COVID times, is the reluctance to explore and create with the musical elements. Research shows how important it is to prepare students for embracing the challenges of the future; while also acknowledging and addressing the current challenges of daily life. These musical instruments would not only help us promote growth in collaboration but also reinforce mastery of musical skills this school year, but would be able to be used year after year to reinforce these skills.
