During this time of Covid and on the heels of distance learning, we have noticed that one area our students are struggling in is the area of writing. By focusing on the writing standards for narrative, opinion, and informative writing (W.2.1, W.2.2, and W.2.3) as well as using digital tools (W.2.6), we can build strong writers that are ready to tackle third grade. Writing is the most difficult subject for second graders as a whole coupled with the fact that our students have never had a "normal" school year. With guidance, support, and the "write" materials, I know that we can make up for last year's learning loss. We are hoping for your support to make this happen.
