My name is Mr. Matherne. I am a high school art teacher at CLHS. We were severely damaged for Hurricane Ida. Some students are homeless, others just overwhelmed. Art has been a huge therapy for them. Since the living situations are so hard for some students, we are no longer allowed to fundraise. I had planned to work very hard raising money for the department since most students cannot afford the lab fee. Please if there is any way you can help. Having these items will help us to create through the rest of the year. We are short for supplies and eager to create. Art is a needed and a necessary outlet for majority of these students at this time.
