These items will transform my school counseling office into a safe, comfortable, and inviting space for students. As a result of Hurricane Ida, the majority of my office furniture was destroyed. In order to continue supporting the social and emotional well-being of my students, it is important that they feel physically comfortable when meeting with me. Flexible seating, sensory items, and access to technology will be utilized during both individual and small group counseling sessions with students. It is my hope that students will see my office as a place where they can relax, unwind, and feel safe.
