The students will learn to code and use robots to solve problems. These robots are hands on and every student will be able to work with their own robot to continue to apply Mathematical Practices and Computer Science Principles Mathematics Content Standard 2.0 To solve problems, communicate, reason, and make connections within and beyond the field of mathematics, students will use various algebraic methods to analyze, illustrate, extend, and create numerous representations (words, numbers, tables, and graphs) of patterns, functions, and algebraic relations as modeled in practical situations. Students learning will also include these Computer Science standards. 6-8.CT.A.1 Practice defining problems to solve by computing for data analysis, modeling, or algorithmic thinking. 6-8.CT.B.1 Find or organize data and use technology to analyze and represent the data to solve problems and make decisions. 6-8.CT.C.1 Break problems into component parts, identify key pieces, and use that information to problem solve. 6-8.CT.D.1 Demonstrate an understanding of how automation works and use algorithmic thinking to design and automate solutions.
