Kindergarten is the foundation that students build the remainder of their educational journey upon. Students are learning how to be readers, mathematicians, scientists, and writers, but they are also learning how to wok with others and be a part of their school community. If you ask any employer to name the top interpersonal skills they seek in a candidate, it is likely they will name collaboration. Setting students up for success means providing opportunities for working with others. The math centers serve two purposes, practicing both math and collaboration skills. There is a time for collaboration and a time for independent work. The headphones will supply students with the tool they need to focus while completing online independent work.
