People have a human need to communicate. Creating a nurturing environments where communication can flourish can be challenging, even in the best of times. We want to provide families and caregivers ideas and tools to foster children's emerging language skills. The Nevada English Language Arts Standard ELA.6.1e. is intended to give Nevada children the tools and experiences that will help them not only to succeed in school but also to become lifelong and adept readers, writers, listeners, and speakers. The contents of the standards have NOT changed. Instead, they have been reformatted so that individuals with disabilities have full access to Nevada’s ELA standards. Our students love to communicate. This project will help us in the road to becoming a "Communication Nation"!
