By purchasing these headphones with mics, our English Language Learners can practice reading passages from their books, explaining their answers on math problems, or science experiments along with the rest of the class. While having these headphones with mics will allow the ELL's to practice speaking into a mic, the entire class can practice adapting their speech to a variety of contexts and tasks, demonstrating command of formal English when indicated or appropriate. This will allow them to gain proficiency in the 6th grade English Language Arts standards 6.SL.5 and 6.SL.6.
