The literacy materials will support first grade through third grade students during a 45 minute literacy lab time. The resources will enhance student learning with reading and writing. The books and games will provide opportunities for students to read and write independently or collaboratively. Students will gain confidence applying their newly learned skills and strategies. This will allow for the reading teacher to work with small groups of four to five students. Creating voracious readers in early grades supports students to become life long learners for their remaining academic career.
