Much of awe and wonder students got from Math and Science was lost during COVID's restrictive learning. Many labs, games and activities didn't translate well to virtual classrooms. Being back in a live classroom will allow students to take a hands on approach to learning in a meaningful and memorable way. A hands-on, multidisciplinary approach provides opportunities to blend Art, Science and Math in ways that play on various strengths of each student. Making models of Matter and its structures (5-PS1-1) pairs well with mosaics in Art. Mosaics and the way tiles fit together lead into Math and geometric shapes. Students who are having fun, being creative and playing to their individual strengths will be more likely to remember their learning and want more.
