Often, my students appear “wiggly”, “off-task”, and “distracted” but with the right supports in place (also called sensory diet strategies), they are more self-regulated and therefore more available to receive the instruction that I am providing, helping them reach their true potential. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and are resilient in taking on the challenges of their personal situations. My students are working on a variety of skills, including articulation and phonology (speech sound disorders), receptive and expressive language skills, and social pragmatic skills. I am proud of their strength!
