My classroom must keep up with the technology needed for my students to succeed. Our school workroom does not have a color printer and my Kindergartners use pictures to learn until they can read. It is hard to teach colors to students in black and white. They learn much better with all the color and detail of the world than they do with a grainy black and white photo. Kindergartners also need a safe space to learn. A lot of my students do not have a safe space at home, so they need somewhere they can go that feels safe. A place they can relax, escape their worries, and be centered. Then they can focus on getting their best education in the classroom.
