These items will be used by the counselors in my school to create a peaceful retreat in our school counseling office. So many of our inner-city youth have been greatly traumatized (at school, home, and in the community) by the affects of the Covid 19 pandemic. As a result, students are currently experiencing a new pandemic of anxiety and fear in returning to in-person learning. The goal of this project is to create a calming retreat in our inner-city school where students who are experiencing extreme levels of stress and anxiety will go to help ease their minds, build up their self-esteem, and assure them that they can and will succeed.

About my class
