Since returning to the building, I am trying to engage my students as much as possible and provide them with materials they may not have had access to while learning from home. In reading groups, we spend a lot of time practicing our reading skills through learning their letters and sounds as well as learning how to blend these sounds together to improve their reading skills. Having more decodable books would allow my students to have access to actual books where they can practice their reading skills. This would also support their reading instruction and build their confidence when having books at their independent level.
