These resources will be used to help with COVID-related deficits in social emotional learning (SEL). The pandemic has created gaps in the learning of all of our students. The gap in SEL is felt by not only the student who is struggling but also his/her/their peers. Additionally, it can also disrupt the teacher's ability to provide instruction to all students in the classroom. As the Special Education Instructional Facilitator, I am able to reach all of our special education population. The resources purchased will be able to be used by teachers in all programs as well as small groups I run. These resources are split into stress tools and toys that will help students focus, social/emotional games to help with peer interactions and emotional control, and things to modify the environment when a student is in crisis and needs to cool down. Please fund my project and support out students.
