Teaching special education requires many supplies and tools for the classroom. Having a group of special ed students that are so young requires an even more individualized toolbox to help them learn in a fun way! My students need a very different approach to learning. Because of the cognitive abilities of my students, the way we learn has to be very explicit and specialized to them. Having reading materials that interest them, as well as a library of book at their reading levels would make a world of difference, and engage them while they learn letters, words, and reading!
