Providing flexible seating for my students will allow them to make the choice that works best for them. Currently my students have access to a variety of locations in the classroom. They can sit at their desks, different tables, or sit on the carpet with clipboards. I would like to provide them with a more comfortable work area when given a choice in their seating. Given seating choice to my students has shown that they are more engaged, and less disruptive when working. I would like to provide them with wobble stools and seats, as well as lap desks to work comfortable in other areas of the room. Proving students with the choice and comfort of seating will spark their creativity and curiosity. By bringing STEM into the classroom I will provide my students with hands-on, real life experiences. I hope to increase their problem solving skills by providing engaging, fun lessons!!
