This year, students at our school are reading in order to become a part of the 100 book club. In order to become a member, students must read books at home. These readers then become leaders and promote reading to other students! At our school, students need opportunities to read more books at school and at home. This will give our wonderful students an opportunity to practice reading the stories in class with their teachers, friends and reading buddies. They then have more practice when they are able to take the books home to proudly read to their families. I requested a wide range of book genres and titles for students to pick from based on their interests and reading abilities and levels. These books will provide students with an opportunity to learn and discover things first at school, then again at home.
