Students need to be able to speak and listen every day, in and out of the classroom. These resources will help students expand their sentences, speak clearly, and understand situations that they might find themselves in. While I work with all elementary-aged students, I will focus on first-grade Nevada Academic Content Standards. The following standards will be promoted by these resources: SL.1.1, SL.1.2, SL.1.3, SL.1.4, SL.1.6. Achievement of the Speaking and Listening Nevada Academic Content Standards ensures that students understand the content that is being taught in the classroom and that they can participate in discussions about it.
