I believe that play is one of the best approaches for a child to learn new skills, especially language skills. As an educator, my goal is to try to nourish and nurture my students in every way possible, and to promote language and speech sound production through a variety of fun and entertaining methods. The story book materials will help them increase language skills such as vocabulary, answering and asking variety of wh-questions, and learning basic concepts in an engaging manner. In speech therapy, my students are learning how to correctly produce and articulate different sound targets, depending on their IEP goal. The letter tiles, alphabet stamps, and magnetic words rods can help them learn the sounds and reinforce literacy as well. My students will be delighted to have new materials to learn with in speech class.
