Currently students have only chromebooks for technology. Having more advanced resources will allow students to render artwork utilizing 21st century skills and technology. My students are eager to use ipads and procreate but currently they are sharing my personal ipad and apple pencil to explore the software themselves. I have AP drawing, AP studio 2D design and AP 3D design which could all greatly benefit from this upgrade. However, all students will benefit with scaffolding lessons to introduce the software. Having these resources will certainly help these students to increase their AP test scores and allow them to earn more college credit. In addition, getting the lower levels exposed to the software will help them become more engaged, excited and more likely to continue with an AP art course.
